United Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to announce our collaboration with Nine Line Apparel to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Together, UBCF and Nine Line Apparel have created a patriotic design that comes in a variety of styles including T-shirts, sweatshirts, and long sleeves. “Nine Line” is a military term that refers to a medical evacuation request for a soldier injured on the battlefield. To soldiers, a Nine Line symbolizes patriotism, hope, and trust in one’s country. This goes for those affected by breast cancer as well. Despite being knocked down by this treacherous disease, UBCF is here to give patients and survivors a lift to higher ground.
Proceeds raised through this campaign will directly fund UBCF’s patient and family service programs, including the breast screening program. Early detection is key to survival and UBCF programs are open to everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, ethnicity, income, or medical insurance coverage. Thanks to donations from generous supporters, UBCF recently awarded Toshika with a Child Sponsorship Grant. She shared, “This grant will help assist my children with some of their basic needs. I am humbly grateful for you all being able to assist my family and I during this time. My experience with UBCF has been amazing. The application process isn’t complicated. Whenever I had any questions, I was able to call the number provided and speak to someone regarding my issue. Everyone that I spoke to was very friendly and personable. It made me feel good to know that I was applying to a grant that really valued the individual’s interest in applying and they did whatever they could to assist me.To any breast cancer patient that is considering applying for any of the grants provided by UBCF, I would encourage you to do so. As I stated, it’s not hard to do and they have plenty of individuals to assist you where you need it. Thank you UBCF for choosing my family as one of your 2022 recipients.”
