On Friday, September 17, the Community Foundation of Louisville is hosting the Give for Good Louisville Campaign, where hundreds of nonprofits participate to raise vital funding to support people in need.  United Breast Cancer Foundation is a proud supporter and a $5,000 matching gift donor for funds raised in support of Twisted Pink, a breast cancer organization located in Louisville, KY.

Twisted Pink is raising funds and awareness for metastatic breast cancer research.  The entire fundraising event spans 24 hours of online giving. During the evening of the 17th, Twisted Pink will be at the Oxmoor Center in Louisville, KY at 6:00 pm to host a fashion show, model reveals, and conduct a breast cancer survivor gift giveaway. This event will be celebrating survivors while raising funds for breast cancer awareness education, increased research for metastatic breast cancer, and support for patients & families. United Breast Cancer is proud to be a major contributor, matching up to $5,000 dollars in donations for Twisted Pink during the Give for Good Louisville Campaign.

The Give for Good Louisville event will begin with a breast cancer survivor fashion show and 7 breast cancer survivor stories will be revealed on life-sized posters. The fashion show will be followed by cocktails, bites, music, and prizes! Breast cancer survivors will each receive their own ‘swag bag’ full of exciting gifts thanks to donations from the United Breast Cancer Foundation. By donating at least $50 during the event, supporters will be eligible for 1 of 5 $100 Meijer Gift Cards. Additionally, the first and second place top fundraisers will receive $500 cash and the third place fundraiser will receive $500 in Meijer Gift Cards.

The Community Foundation of Louisville will be hosting live streams of several nonprofits throughout the day on their Facebook page.  Twisted Pink will be featured live at 7:00 pm to discuss how donors can have a positive impact on women living with a breast cancer diagnosis and help further research.  With the help of United Breast Cancer Foundation’s $5,000 matching gift, Twisted Pink hopes to make a larger impact for much needed research to develop better treatments for individuals living with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer as well as funding early-stage education.

United Breast Cancer Foundation is excited to support Twisted Pink during this event. Twisted Pink’s focus on breast cancer research is complementary to UBCF’s goal of assisting breast cancer patients, survivors, and families directly. This comradery has allowed both organizations to work together, thereby helping a greater number of people affected by breast cancer. UBCF and Twisted Pink began working together in 2019 following a successful mattress donation event and have partnered with each other for galas, hope boxes, and more! By providing a $5,000 matching gift, UBCF hopes to increase the positive impact of the Give for Good Louisville campaign.

Stephanie Mastroianni, UBCF’s Executive Director, shared, “United Breast Cancer Foundation enjoys collaborating with Twisted Pink to support breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as raising awareness for Stage IV. We are proud to be matching donations up to $5,000 for this event and look forward to celebrating patients and survivors.”

Stephanie Jones, the Community Outreach Coordinator for Twisted Pink explains, “Twisted Pink is extremely grateful for the matching $5,000 donation from the United Breast Cancer Foundation on Give For Good Louisville Day.  Their commitment to support the lives of individuals affected by a breast cancer diagnosis is felt far and wide across the country. UBCF continues to awe us with an unmatched commitment of support to make an impact with Twisted Pink both nationally and within our community for breast cancer patients, survivors, and families.”
