Bronx, NY (PR Web)– The United Breast Cancer Foundation is thrilled to be working with the world-famous Major League Baseball team, the New York Yankees, during Women’s Health Month this May. Together, they will “batter up to fight breast cancer”. The Yankees have made it a tradition during Women’s Health Month to highlight extraordinary organizations in the fight against breast cancer, and this year, the platinum-rated nonprofit United Breast Cancer Foundation was chosen to be a part of that tradition.
For select games during Women’s Health Month, the Yankees will donate a portion of every ticket sold to the United Breast Cancer Foundation! Fans that purchase tickets through this special offer will receive a limited edition New York Yankees Hat with a pink Yankees logo co-branded with a pink ribbon. Each Special Event Ticket will also include a regular-sized hot dog and your first drink. Tickets are currently available for home games on May 12th, 13th, and 14th against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Women’s Health Month is a special time to raise awareness. Breast cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. While there is a genetic link to breast cancer, only 5-10% of breast cancers are linked to inherited gene mutations, and while rare, men can develop breast cancer too.
“The United Breast Cancer Foundation has helped save my life!” said UBCF client Taylor W. “Last Fall, I began experiencing breast pain, and my sister suggested a thermography exam. I looked into it, and it was out of my price range. Fortunately, the woman told me that I might be able to get help through UBCF, and to my great relief, they covered the entire cost of this exam.
