UBCF joins forces with Brookfield Properties to donate “Pink Bags” loaded with gifts to Breast Cancer patients and survivors.
HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (PRWEB) OCTOBER 13, 2022
UBCF and Brookfield Properties are pleased to announce a collaboration in which breast cancer patients and survivors will receive Pink Bags filled with gifts to brighten up their day. This is a group of events that involves dozens of hardworking individuals who are dedicated to providing comfort to those affected by breast cancer.
Brookfield Properties is a retail real estate company that operates over 130 shopping centers throughout the United States. Through this partnership, Brookfield Properties will provide space in 20 of their locations to conduct UBCF Pink Bag Events®. The Pink Bags are free gifts for breast cancer patients and survivors and include items such as beautiful cosmetics, fine soaps, jewelry, cozy socks, or assorted winter items. They also contain promo items such as lip balm, hand sanitizer, and brochures.
“It was a natural collaboration for us to work with UBCF to offer this resource at our centers.” said Stephanie Brager, senior vice president at Brookfield Properties. “Our shopping centers are deeply embedded in the communities where we operate. This is a responsibility and a privilege and we are proud to take part in this initiative throughout October.”
Although registration for this year’s Pink Bag Events® is closed, UBCF encourages breast cancer patients and survivors to register for next year. Contact your local Brookfield center to see how you can qualify.

UBCF provides financial support to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families through eight programs. UBCF programs include breast screenings, breast reconstruction, covid grants, the Audrey B. Mastroianni college scholarship, individual grants, holistic care, and child sponsorship. Additionally, UBCF’s Network of Giving program provides those in need with tangible and useful, high quality gifts such as mattresses, personal care products and clothing. One of UBCF’s clients, Kathleen, recently received an individual grant. UBCF helped her with her rent, an electric bill and an insurance payment. “Sharing with family and friends the gift you gave me, took the focus off my troubles, and I was grateful, an emotion that tends to get buried under the burden of illness. I can only imagine the joy you experience by helping others in their emotional and physical distress – what a beautiful and satisfying profession. You R-O-C-K!” UBCF is proud to support clients like Kathleen during difficult times in their lives.
