Breast Reconstructive Surgery
United Breast Cancer Foundation understands that a woman faces many physical and emotional challenges after a mastectomy. It is imperative for women recovering from breast cancer to have every opportunity to regain their confidence. For many women who’ve undergone a mastectomy, their natural inclination is to have reconstructive surgery in an effort to regain a sense of well-being, to move forward with their lives.
Breast Reconstructive Surgery
The cost of breast reconstruction surgery can be prohibitive, particularly for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or subject to high out-of-pocket costs/deductibles/copays. UBCF strongly believes that reconstructive surgery should be an option for Every Woman®️. Due to the expense of surgery, many women cannot afford this costly yet important surgery. UBCF is here to provide access to this significant aspect of recovery, helping women feel whole again; both emotionally and physically.
Please be advised that the application and review process can take up to 12 weeks.

Eligibility Questionnaire
UBCF prides itself on providing support to breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families. We have been incredibly disappointed by several instances of fraudulent applications being submitted to us. Not only is this practice unethical and immoral, but it takes finite resources away from those truly struggling through the lasting impact of a breast cancer diagnosis. Fraudulent applications and materials will not be accepted and may be subject to administrative, civil, or criminal liability.
Be aware, that by submitting this form, you are agreeing to the following statement:
“I do hereby attest that this information is true, accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge and I understand that any falsification, omission, or concealment of material fact may subject me to administrative, civil, or criminal liability.”
Complete the below form so UBCF may determine your eligibility for this program.
**Please note, this is not an application for the program, this is a questionnaire to determine if you qualify for this program.**

Experiencing the financial burden of my recent double mastectomy and reconstructive surgeries, I called the American Cancer Society to inquire about possible grants for the final phase of 3D nipple tattooing. Upon my research, completing this procedure by a nurse/tattoo artist with years of experience was going to be a substantial “out of network” expense, even though I had already met my very large annual deductible. The American Cancer Society gave me the contact information for United Breast Cancer Foundation, who thankfully offered grant funding specifically entitled “Breast Reconstruction Program.” Jamie Newberry returned my call and promptly emailed the grant application to me. She politely answered all of my questions, even explaining that I may qualify for additional grant funding as well. This organization has been extremely helpful on my decision to move forward with the final state of my breast cancer journey.
Without this funding, I more than likely would note complete this final procedure. While navigating the emotional and financial journey of breast cancer, there is no doubt that this program has the potential to positively impact lives. This funding truly makes a difference! Words can’t express how grateful I am for your consideration. And I must say, I love the “Pay-It-Forward” component to the grant application! I firmly believe in Acts 20:35 when the Lord himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive. Thank you so much for this opportunity.
JeanetteWords cannot express how happy & lucky I am for being granted for this. I highly express my deep appreciation and gratitude for the generous gift thru the Breast Reconstructive Surgery grant that UBCF has awarded to me. This is the best birthday gift ever! I am now on my recovery, after my surgery last Aug 15, 2014,the day after my birthday.
Thank you so much Ms. Jennifer Spina who has assisted me and answered all my questions about the paperwork necessary to fulfill my requirements for the grant.
My gratefulness can’t be expressed with words alone for the help your organization has so generously and lovingly blessed and graced me with. Without your assistance, I would have probably not been able to complete my breast reconstruction without putting a financial hardship and burden on myself. Your assistance in helping me to obtain this surgery has made me feel whole again and I have regained my confidence. Ithank God every day that he allowed me to survive my cancer and the opportunity to live out more of my life & continue to take care of my family especially my 2 year old child.
Your help has made me feel “whole” again and feeling good on the outside has seemed to make me feel like a happier and more loving person.
Once again, my sincere and heartfelt thanks to your organization.
The United Breast Cancer Foundation has unexpectedly come into my life and made a big difference in my well being. I will be eternally grateful to them for all their help. I will never forget you for the rest of my life. God bless you all!!!
RizzaMy gratefulness can’t be expressed with words alone for the help your organization has so generously and lovingly blessed and graced me with. Without your assistance I would have probably not been able to complete my reconstruction without putting a financial hardship and burden on myself. Since I am presently going through a divorce after 24 years of marriage, my self esteem and personal image of myself were at a very low point. Your assistance in helping me to obtain this surgery has made me feel whole again and I have regained my womanhood. Although I feel that beauty comes from the inside, it was very difficult to look at myself naked and not feel that I just didn’t look “normal” and like other woman.
I thank God every day that he allowed me to survive my cancer and the opportunity to live out more of my life.
Your help has made me feel “whole” again and feeling good on the outside has seemed to make me feel like a happier and more loving person.
Once again, my sincere and heartfelt thanks to your organization.
Terri KIt was pretty lovely to come back from Thanksgiving to a letter from UBCF in my mailbox. Thank you so much for such a generous grant. Yes, everyone is talking about gratitude, but I am truly grateful for the work of your organization. I’m literally counting down the days until I go for my mastectomy tattoos, which is something that UBCF helped make possible.
MollyAs a breast cancer survivor, I am grateful and proud to be part of UBCF. If not for their love and dedication, people like me would not be here. Thank you!
I am so appreciative to UBCF. In a world where health issues happen unexpectedly, it’s great to know what kind of hearts do exist.
