On May 13th, 2016 the United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) organized an event to donate brand new Tempur-Pedic® mattresses to men, women and children impacted by breast cancer. The event was held in Melville, New York at the International Warehouse Group facility. Mattresses were picked up at no cost to local NY residents. The event began early on with set-up at 8:30am, the first appointments starting at 11:00 am, and the day wrapping-up at 6:30 pm. Lucky for UBCF, many arrived early, which helped transition later in the day. All together, the UBCF donated 120 mattresses to the community.
Those who received the mattresses expressed their heartfelt gratitude by leaving UBCF testimonials.
One testimonial stated, “What a true blessing this will be. I am post-op from my 8th surgery and I have been sleeping in a recliner. This is an opportunity to have a restful night of sleep in over 2 years. Thank you so much. Love, Margaret.”
Through this amazing opportunity Margaret was able to have a better night sleep and relieve some of her stress. UBCF mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer. This donation reflects our commitment to provide health and wellness services to the community.
